Medival Krakow

ON STEEDBACK THROUGH THE CITYcycle adventure in medieval Krakow

Let us start our adventure from the meeting with the guide - wanderer who will take us through the Gate of Time and will equip us with special medieval clothes. Then we will head for the "stable" (a bike rental) to tame our "horses" (bikes). On their backs we will ride close to Wawel Hill where listening to old legends and contemplating the atmosphere of the old times we will be able to admire the most important monuments of medieval Krakow - the Royal Castle and the Cathedral.

Then we will "gallop" through the cobble-stone streets to the biggest square - Krakow's Main Market. On our way we will pass numerous churches, houses, universities and squares where history sleeps in every stone and brick. Driving in the direction of the legendary bugle-call melody we will reach the most important church in the city - Saint Mary's Basilica. Standing in front of the magnificent temple we will admire its beauty and will get to know its stories and legends. Then riding through the Planty Park, that was planted around the Old Town in place of the medieval defensive walls, we will get to the Holy Trinity Basilica. It is here where the first Dominican Fathers settled in 13th century and it is here where the oldest Dominican Priory is located. Here, in one of the chapels we will find the Tomb of Saint Hyacinth where the pilgrims and adventurers of different nations come since centuries to beg, to thank and to forgive...

After a short rest and watering the horses, we will head along the Vistula River bank towards the medieval Priory of Norbertine Sisters, where the Hermitage of Blessed Bronislawa can be visited. Finally we will gallop again to the Market Square, where "our horses" will finally get some rest and we, after alimenting our souls, will finally get something for our bodies...
