WINDINGS OF THE PARADISE RIVERattractive expedition to the world of Biebrza River swamps and wilderness

We would like to propose to you en extraordinary expedition to the biggest and the most attractive national park of Poland. You will find here a real peace, you will rest surrounded by the nature, with your eyes fixed on it's beauty and while listening intently to it's inaudible music - a silent of the fire, murmur of foliage moving with the wind, roar of the river waves, voices of birds, calls of the animals from the distance...

If you have ever imagined a paradise as an infinite, flowered meadow with a blue river which ends at the line of the horizon with a blue sky going through, if you were surrounded by birds singing about a beauty of the world in thousands of tons, it is pretty sure, you were dreaming about Biebrza National Park area which is waking up to life after a winter break. So, you were dreaming exactly about the place we would like to invite you now.

Our idea to show you Biebrza National Park is a five-days expedition which allow you to meet it's nature and cultural values. Some of our proposals you will find below, but please remember that in reality everything depends on you and the program we created can be modified according to your wishes and expectations.

Day 1. Warsaw - Goniadz (Biebrzanski National Park)

This day we will meet each other in Warsaw and then we will go by bus to Goniadz, a small city in the heart of Biebrza National Park. During the first common meal, the local guide will introduce you in a few words our plan for the next few days and will tell you about nature values of the Park. In the late afternoon we can suggest you a short walk in the nearest neighbourhood and a late supper by the fire during which we would like to treat you to some local dishes and tell you about the culture and some traditions of this region.

Day 2. The Biebrza outdoor sceneries and bird watching

Our proposal for today is a photo expedition to a beautiful marshes area of the Park and bird watching. We will be wandering along the high bank of the Biebrza River about 5 kilometers, stopping from time to time at the viewing platforms in anticipation of appearance of some splendid habitants of this area. Having a little bit of luck, maybe we will manage to take a picture of such important "VIPs of a birds' world like: Spotted Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, Hobby, White Winged, Whiskered and Black Tern, Black Stork, Crane, Ruff, Hoopoe, Ortolan Bunting, Trush Nightingale, Blue Throat and Rosefinch...

Day 3. Red Marsh Reserve

Today we will discover the Red Marsh Reserve - the most interesting part of Biebrza National Park both because of its nature and landscapes. In the morning, we will go by bus to the Grzedy forester's lodge and then, after a short meeting with the local forester who will tell us a little bit about the interesting history of this place, we will leave to have another meeting, this time with the extraordinary nature. We would like to propose to you an eight kilometers long walking trail thanks to which you will convince yourself how many different kinds of plants and flowers you can meet at a relatively small area. You will see here, among others, sandy dunes rising from the marshes, fir and alder forests, immense peatbogs. You will also visit the biggest elk mainstay in Poland and will try to observe otters by the Jagrznia River and Woznawiejski Canal. And once again you will have an opportunity to listening to the voices of so many birds surprised by our present in their kingdom...

Day 4. Goniadz - Osowiec Canoeing Trip (7.5 km)

This day we have in ours planes a canoeing trip through the Biebrza River. We will leave Goniadz in the early morning to find ourselves after three hours near Osowiec, where we will eat our lunch and visit an interesting photo exposition in the Educational and Management Centre of the Biebrza National Park. Later, we will see the famous Osowiec Fortress made here by the Tsar's soldiers in 1882 and after a short break, we will come back (this time by bus) to Goniadz. In the evening we would like to invite you to the farewell supper by the fire.

Day 5. Goniadz - Warsaw

If you don't want to leave this beautiful area without saying goodbye to all your forest friends, we have a special proposal for you - a nature photo expedition by the sunrise during which you will have a last opportunity to make a wonderful bird watching or observe the real life of the wild, local nature. After that, we would like to invite you to the outdoor breakfast at the gallery of the house which was your shelter during the last few days and give you some time to pack your belongings and to breathe deeply one more time before finding yourself back in Warsaw.
